The panel will be made up of Kristin Barker, associate professor of sociology; Michael Osmera, visiting assistant professor of anthropology; Seth Tichenor, adjunct professor of philosophy; Dawn Nowacki, associate professor of political science; and William Apel, professor of religion.
The speakers will express their personal opinions as well as an academic perspective from their respective fields. All of the presentations will be in opposition to military action in Iraq; however, a dissenting opinion will be presented by Osmera, who will give reasons in support of war. A question, answer and discussion session will follow the panel's presentations.
The event is free, open to the public and sponsored by Project S.P.E.A.K. (Students and Staff Promoting Equality for All Kinds) and the Progressive Student Union.
