4/7/2009 Comedic lecture to take place during diversity week
McMINNVILLE – Comedian and writer Preacher Moss will present “End of Racism” on Tuesday, April 21, at 7 p.m. in the Richard and Lucille Ice Auditorium in Melrose Hall as part of Diversity Week at Linfield College.
“End of Racism” takes the audience through the difficult questions of race with the grace and wit of a comedic act. The powerful and thought-provoking presentation will have the audience never thinking of race in the same way again. The lecture discusses racial interaction and racial understanding and looks at race through laughter, respect and humility for many races and cultures in America.
Moss has written for “The Damon Wayans Show” and “Saturday Night Live” and has worked with artists such as Maya Angelou, George Lopez and Chris Farley. He has appeared on “NYC Urban Comedy Festival,” “BET Comicview,” “Comedy Central,” “Politically Incorrect,” “Nightline” and “Latino Laugh Festival.” Moss has toured the nation visiting colleges and high schools presenting “End of Racism” and was also involved in “Allah Made Me Funny,” a comedy tour featuring Muslim artists.
The lecture is free and open to the public and sponsored by the Linfield Activities Board. For more information contact Lauren Funtanilla at firstname.lastname@example.org.
