11/17/2008 Linfield students display art in college exhibition
McMINNVILLE – Selected student art entries will be displayed at the annual Linfield College juried student exhibition in the Linfield Fine Art Gallery Dec. 3-20.
An opening reception will be held Wednesday, Dec. 3, at 6 p.m. in the gallery, located in the James F. Miller Fine Arts Center at Linfield.
The show will feature the work of selected Linfield students, art majors and non-art majors alike, in a variety of formats. All students are invited to submit work. Kristan Kennedy and TJ Norris are the jurors for the exhibition. Kennedy is the visual art program director of the Portland Institute for Contemporary Art and hosts the annual Time Based Art Festival. Norris is a curator and artist based in Portland. He guest curated the “.meta” group exhibition, which was on display at Linfield earlier this fall.
The Linfield exhibit is free and open to the public. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday, noon to 5 p.m. To reach the gallery from 99W, turn east on Keck Drive at the McMinnville Market Center in south McMinnville. Turn right at the first street onto Library Court. The art gallery is located in the second building on the left, Building B.
