General Election for the 2015-2016 Academic Year

The Associated Student of Linfield College – Portland Campus (ASLC-PC) will be holding elections for the offices of the President and Vice-President in March.  Elected students will serve their fellow students during the 2015-2016 academic year.  

Campaign and Election Information:

All current students who will be enrolled through the Spring 2016 semester are eligible to run for office.  Interested candidates must submit their name to ASLC-PC Secretary, Erica Wu, prior to the start of campaigning.  Once a candidate's eligibility is verified, they will receive campaign rules and be added to the official ballot list.  Duties of the President and Vice-President are linked below.

  • Beginning Spring 2015: eligible candidates may submit their name to the Secretary
  • February 23rd - March 2nd: Campaign week
  • March 3rd & March 4th: Election (via e-balloting)
  • March 4th: President-Elect and Vice-President-Elect are announced
  • May 1st: Leadership transition begins

Officer Hiring Information:

Following the election, all vacant Executive Board, Program Board, and Senate Board positions will be open for application through CatConnect by searching for "PDX ASLC-PC Officer" and completing the application by the due date, April 3rd.  All current students who will be enrolled through the Spring 2016 semester are eligible to apply for Executive and Program Board positions.  Senate Board candidates must be members of their respective cohorts.

  • March 2nd: Leadership Lunch at noon in PH 110
  • March 2nd: Applications for officer positions are available
  • April 3rd: Officer applications due
  • April 6th - April 15th: Officer interviews
  • April 17th: Hired officers announced
  • May 1st: Leadership transition begins
