Overview of palliative nursing as a scientific and humanistic approach to caring for individuals experiencing life-limiting illness. Examines approaches to care that combine compassion with quality care measures that address physical, psychological, social, spiritual, cultural, and existential aspects of holistic care of the individual and family across the lifespan.
