Save the date - 2nd Annual Pumpkin Patch Shindig!

Save the date for October 31, when Linfield Wildcats will gather again at the Big Red Barn at Sauvie Island’s Pumpkin Patch from 1-5 on Halloween afternoon. Join friends, fellow students, alumni and colleagues for holiday snacks, face painting, a costume contest (kids, adults and dogs!) and the famous Mysterious Linfield Loot raffle!

From 2-4, local musician and troubadour John Stapleton will serenade us. Linfield alumni who have been engaged with Sustainable Health Africa in Uganda will have an information table about their work.

Bring your family and friends for a fun festival – you can also enjoy (no host) the Pumpkin Patch offerings during your visit like pumpkins, a produce market, hayrides, a corn maze (Haunted Field of Screams from 7-10pm!), petting zoo and more!

No need to RSVP – just join us in the Big Red Barn at the Pumpkin Patch! The Pumpkin Patch is at 16511 NW Gillihan Rd. on Sauvie Island.

Jointly sponsored by Portland Campus student services and alumni relations.

Festive fundraiser a great success at vineyard fair

A festive fundraiser and perfect summer day drew supporters of the Pamela Harris endowed nursing scholarship to the Vineyard Fair at Lawton Winery in Newberg, July 18. Linfield-Good Samaritan School of Nursing alumni, students, friends and former and current faculty and staff gathered for the event, hosted by Harris, along with Robin and Keith Lawton.

Guests enjoyed live music, crafts and wine tasting, raising over $1,800 through individual contributions and from a portion of craft sale proceeds. “My intention is to grow the endowed scholarship so it will eventually support more students,” said Harris, dean emerita of Linfield-Good Samaritan School of Nursing. Bonnie Saucier to serve as interim director

Upon David Groff's retirement June 30, Linfield College appointed Dr. Bonnie Saucier as interim director of the Portland Campus. Dr. Saucier will continue to serve as dean of Linfield-Good Samaritan School of Nursing in addition to serving as interim director.

Dr. Saucier is also a member of the Portland Task Force, which is investigating ways Linfield can continue to capitalize on its two unique campus locations. "Linfield has a great opportunity to consider potential benefits to all students of having a Portland location, given the city's many business and cultural connections and amenities," said Saucier.
