OBTAINING CERTIFICATION AS A NURSING ASSISTANT (CNA1)
For Students Entering the Nursing Program Prior to and Including Summer 2011:
You may be eligible to obtain certification as a CNA1 after successfull completion of NURS 103, 106, 208.
For Students Entering the Nursing Program Fall 2011 or Thereafter:
You may be eligible to obtain certification as a CNA1 after successfull completion of Semester 1 (NURS 305, 315, 320, 335) and Semester 2 (NURS 355, 365, 375, 395).
To apply:
- Students desiring CNA‐1 certification must complete the application process as outlined on the Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) website. - Students submit the application with the fingerprint verification form, required fees, and an official copy of their transcript to OSBN. (In accordance with the nurse practice act (Division 62) and as an enrollee of an approved nursing education program, verification of the required coursework for certification may be obtained by requesting an official transcript from the Enrollment Services office, Loveridge Hall, 1st floor.
