Obtaining Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA1)
Linfield nursing students may be eligible to obtain certification as a CNA1 after successfull completion of Semester 1 (NURS 305, 315, 320, 335) and Semester 2 (NURS 355, 365, 375, 395).
- Students desiring CNA‐1 certification must complete the application process as outlined on the Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) website. - Students submit the application with the fingerprint verification form, required fees, and an official copy of their transcript to OSBN. (In accordance with the nurse practice act (Division 62) and as an enrollee of an approved nursing education program, verification of the required coursework for certification may be obtained by requesting an official transcript from the Enrollment Services office, Loveridge Hall, 1st floor.
