Ayudando Podemos (AP)

Ayudando Podemos (AP) is a program serving underrepresented nursing and pre-nursing students.  The purpose of the programis to increase the number of culturally diverse baccalaureate-prepared minority nurses in Oregon and southwest Washington. 

Ayudando Podemos recruits and retains students through targeted support services such as: intensive students advising, tutoring in test taking and writing, a bilingual and bicultural Financial Aid Counselor and Director of Multicultural Programs as well as peer support programs and activities. Students and staff work towards a deepening of the cultural competence of the whole campus community, curriculum strategies, and the expansion of community partnerships with high schools, community based organizations, health career programs, and health care agencies and organizations.
