The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Scholarship
Scholarships to Oregon Hispanic Students pursuing an undergraduate or graduate
education with a minimum 2.75 GPA. Linfield College – Portland
Campus will match your scholarship if you are enrolled in the Linfield Good
Samaritan School of Nursing program.

Oregon Student Assistance Commission (OSAC)
Scholarships awarded to students in various majors. With one application
you can apply to multiple scholarships.

The Oregon Nursing Services Program
Designed to recruit registered nurses (RNs) to the designated critical shortage
areas and specialties throughout Oregon. Participants receive annual
payments toward their debt incurred during their professional nursing program
in exchange for qualifying service. Annual employment verification
is required.

Health Resources and Services Administration Nursing Scholarship Program
In exchange for at least two years service at a health care facility with a
critical shortage of nurses, the Nursing Scholarship Program pays tuition
and other college expenses. Average award of monthly stipend for 2006
was $1,182.

Nursing Education Loan Repayment Program (NELRP)
NELRP is a competitive program that repays 60 percent of the qualifying loan
balance of registered nurses selected for funding in exchange for 2 years
of service at a critical shortage facility. Participants may be eligible
to work a third year and receive an additional 25 percent of the qualifying
loan balance.

Equity Foundation Scholarships
Provides scholarships to encourage members of the gay, lesbian, bisexual and
transgender communities and their children, in northwest Oregon and southwest
Washington, to pursue careers in healthcare. In addition, Linfield
College – Portland Campus will match one scholarship recipient enrolled
in the Linfield Good Samaritan School of Nursing program up to $5,000/yr.

Black United Fund Scholarship
The Black United Fund of Oregon and Linfield School of Nursing-Portland Campus
invite African-American students who are interested in pursuing a degree
in Nursing or Health Sciences to apply for a one $7,000 annual tuition, renewable
scholarship for a maximum of 3 years. You must have a minimum of
34 transferable college credits to apply.

Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute
Provides Scholarship funds to students in various majors. This is also
a good resource for other scholarship resources, Internships, and Fellowship
