The IT Department supports the Computer Lab in Loveridge Hall and the Computer Classroom in Peterson Hall. The lab is located at the south end of the second floor of Loveridge Hall. The Computer Classroom is located in room 108 in Peterson Hall (PH108).
The computer lab includes a total of 40 computers. One computer has Photoshop installed on it and is connected to a color scanner. Two networked laser printers are available in the lab area. There is also now a laptop lounge for students to use and gather in small groups, please contact email@example.com to schedule a reserved time.
The computer classroom, PH108, provides 12 desktop computers running Windows XP. The computers provide the standard software including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and a Web browser. Also available are ArcGIS and SPSS. A networked laser printer is available in the classroom.
Computers in both the computer lab and the classroom have full network access to all Linfield network services and to the Internet.
Basic support for the computer lab is provided by student technicians employed by the IT department. IT staff provide the primary support for computers and applications in the lab and the classroom.
The computer lab is open weekdays, evenings, and weekends during the academic year. Some terms, such as Jan Term, may have a more limited schedule. The computer classroom is available for use as an open lab on weekdays, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., when there are no classes in session in the room. We ask that students who use the computer classroom as a lab to please complete their work and leave the room 10 minutes prior to the scheduled start-time for any class scheduled in the room.
