The Environmental and Public Health curriculum emphasizes research, working in teams, as well as policy and administrative aspects of health care professions.  The program prepares graduates for career opportunities in health care fields related to environmental health, public health, and delivery of health care nationally and internationally.  Graduates can develop career paths leading to jobs in health education in non-profit agencies, hospitals, and other organizations.  Students can also prepare for careers in global health research and education, research in pharmaceutical and hospital settings, as well as graduate education in public health, health promotion, and allied health professional fields.

What is the primary value of majoring in Health Sciences?
"[The major] provides a well rounded, liberal arts education with a specific focus on health unlike any other BS Program. [It] prepares one for graduate studies or the workplace if one is motivated and self driven in defining their goals. I am grateful every day for the time I spent in the program."
