student in Africa

Effective fall 2011 students are not being admitted to the health sciences program.  Prospective students are encouraged to explore related majors on either the McMinnville or Portland Campus.

Our mission is to provide a quality educational experience for students who wish to pursue a career in health care.

The Health Sciences program at Linfield College offers two majors: Environmental and Public Health and Health Administration. Oppportunities exist for graduates to proceed to:

  • Graduate programs
  • Professional programs
  • Health-related jobs

What can you do with a Health Sciences Degree?

The two majors in the Health Sciences program expose students to a broad range of disciplines.  They are degrees that span many careers and offer graduates a broad variety of transferable skills and knowledge sought by health care organizations, graduate schools, and professional schools.

What is the primary value of majoring in Health Sciences?
"I was able to follow my bliss. I learned a lot from every class I took, every paper I wrote, every test I took and every trip I went on...
The Health Sciences Major helped me grow as a person, it developed my ability to think an issue through, pick apart an argument, and accept that there may not be only one true answer."
