Linfield College offers scholarships and grants to help students enroll in and graduate from Linfield College. Scholarships at Linfield are available to the most-qualified applicants each year, regardless of eligibility for other types of financial aid.
Grants and scholarships are free money – financial aid that does not have to be repaid. Grants are often need-based, while scholarships are usually merit-based.

Need-based grant awarded on a funds-available basis to full-time undergraduate students in good academic standing.
A variety of named scholarships made possible through the generosity of friends of the College. Recipients of endowed scholarships may be asked to write a thank-you letter to the donor before these funds are disbursed to the student’s account. Scholarships are made available through an application each Fall and Spring Semester to students enrolled full time at the Linfield Portland Campus.
Members of Phi Theta Kappa (two-year college honor society) are eligible to receive a $1,000/ semester renewable scholarship. Up to 10 scholarships can be awarded each year. The student must have a 3.25 GPA in transferable courses. The award is renewed each year at the same dollar amount if the student meets the College’s academic standards for enrollment and applies for renewal in a timely manner. The Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship is made available to qualifying students through an application each year at the beginning of the Fall and Spring semesters.
Tuition Exchange is available to students who apply and are eligible under a tuition exchange program recognized by Linfield. Renewal depends upon continued eligibility and satisfactory academic progress.
