Nursing Specific Scholarships

Cherokee Uniforms | A Nurse I am Film and Scholarship Program. The entry period begins in late March 1.

Hospice and Palliative Nurses Foundations | HPNF offers four (4) scholarship programs to hospice and palliative nursing professionals.

Health Resources and Services Administration | HRSA - HRSA health professions loan repayment, scholarship and loan programs help to encourage and enable clinicians to work in underserved areas.

HURST Review Services | AACN Scholarship | Two scholarships in the amount of $2,500 will be awarded twice yearly. The deadlines each year are January 15 and July 15.

National Gerontological Nursing Association | The National Gerontological Nursing Association (NGNA) is proud to offer award and scholarship opportunities to NGNA members. Awards are presented each year at the NGNA annual convention.

National Student Nurses Association | NSNA | The NSNA Foundation awards over $345,000 annually in the general scholarship and promise of nursing programs. Scholarships range from $1,000 to $5,000.

Tylenol Undergraduate Scholarship | For 23 years, the makers of TYLENOL® have awarded more than $8.9 million in scholarships to students pursuing an education in healthcare. We are proud to support those dedicated to a lifetime of caring for others.

Diversity Nursing Education Award | At, we continue to giveback to the Nursing community with our Annual $5,000 Education Award

American Psychiatric Nurses Association | Nursing students from across the United States were invited to apply. | AACN Scholarship

The Army Nurses Corps Association | The purpose of the Army Nurse Corps Association Scholarship Program is to award scholarships to U.S. citizen students attending accredited baccalaureate or graduate nursing or anesthesia nursing programs.| Information on various specialties and degrees related to nursing, includes a $2,500 scholarship offered four times a year

A Place for Mom Senior Care Innovation Scholarship | Five $1000 scholarships available to students enrolled in an associate’s, bachelor’s, or graduate level program at an accredited school in the fields of gerontology, medicine, nursing, social work, sociology, or long-term care administration. Deadline April 15, 2017.

The Nurses Make a Difference Scholarshipis an annual $1,000 scholarship awarded to an aspiring nurse who is currently enrolled in an undergraduate nursing program or is a high school student who has been accepted to a nursing program. The winning applicant will provide the best 200-300 word essay on the topic of how nurses can make a difference in people’s lives.

Salem Hospital Scholarship Application| Each year, area students receive academic scholarships to further their education in medically related fields of study.

A Better America Scholarship | Global English Editing will award one $1500 scholarship the applicant with the best essay outlining how they intend to change America after finishing their degree. Application deadline is December 31, 2016.

Mesothelioma Cancer Alliance Scholarship | This scholarship is for students who have dealt with cancer, personally or within the family. Students must submit a typed essay or video (see website for details). A $4,000 scholarship will be awarded to those who can demonstrate having a positive impact on those around them, strength in the face of adversity, a commitment to academia, and financial need. Application deadline December 1, 2016 

Scholarship Nursing | CampusRN has $15,000 in Scholarships Available to Nursing & Allied Health Students.

Oregon & Northwest Specific Scholarships

Oregon Student Access | Over 10 million dollars in scholarships are available to students.

The Ford Family Foundation | The Foundation offers a suite of financial and program resources in Oregon, Siskiyou County, California and, in some cases, other regions. Many recipients enthusiastically declare that the Scholarship Programs are about “so much more than the money.”

CASA of Oregon | Making College Affordable | The Matched College Savings Program provides a 5-to-1 match on the money you save.

Legacy Scholarships | These scholarships and loan repayments are awarded by Legacy's Foundations and Volunteer Auxiliaries.

Grand Chapter of Oregon Scholarships | ESTARL: 9 scholarships at $1500 each, Dorothy Dewing Memorial Scholarship: 2 scholarships at $1,000 each, Leslie S Parker: 22 scholarships at $1500 each

The Soroptimist Women’s Opportunity Awards Program | The Women’s Opportunity Awards program assists women who provide the primary source of financial support for their families by giving them the resources they need to improve their education, skills and employment prospects.

The Writing Scholarships | Three scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors and three will be awarded to university students. This year, we will award six scholarships ranging from $100 to $500.

Minority Student Scholarships

Hispanic Metropolitan Chamber | To provide support and encourage Hispanics to continue their higher education, The Hispanic Metropolitan Chamber provides annual scholarship awards to qualifying applicants.

Gates Millennium Scholars | Multiple scholarships available

American Indian College Fund | The American Indian College Fund also provides scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students attending any other accredited public and non-profit private college all across the United States.

Aspira Association | Variety of Scholarships available

Hispanic Association of College and Universities | Denny's Hungry for Education Scholarship: $1,000, NASCAR/Wendell Scott Sr. Award: $2,200, Travelers Scholarship: $5,000

Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund | MALDEF has developed a Scholarship Resource Guide to support high school, college, and graduate students in their attainment of a higher education. This is a free, informative resource guide for students, parents, and educators.

National Association of Hispanic Nurses | Scholarship awards are presented to NAHN members enrolled in accredited LVN/LPN, associate, diploma, baccalaureate, and graduate nursing programs.

The Latino Educational and Recreational Network | For Oregon students wishing to pursue higher education.
