Admissions

Admission to Health Sciences

Linfield College offers admission into the major of Health Sciences as a transfer sophomore or junior. Class standing will be determined by the number of prerequisite and general education courses completed at the time of application and those courses anticipated for completion by the program start date.

In preparing to apply for admission, it is important to construct a prerequisite course plan with a Linfield academic advisor that takes into consideration your current commitments to work, family and other activities. Keep in mind that each prerequisite course is transferred to the major and these courses become fundamental in building a strong knowledge base whether you are preparing to directly enter into the workforce or preparing to apply to graduate and professional schools.

All courses must be completed with a grade of “C” or higher in order to be considered for transfer credit. A grade of “C-“ will not transfer. Grades in prerequisites courses are important in the evaluation process for admission.

Applications are accepted beginning January 1 and end July 1 for fall entry. Application are accepted from July 1 to January 1 for spring entry.  Students that plan to apply for financial aid should complete the Free Form for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon after January 1 as possible. If you are a current recipient of financial aid, you can just update your renewal form and add our institutional code number (E00614).
