Application Instructions for Those Who Previously Applied After November 15, 2013, and your application was verified


STEP 1: Update your NursingCAS application.

Refer to the specific instructions below as you complete your application.

Update your NursingCAS application at  Review all fields to make sure information is current.  Be sure to:

1.  Change the "Designation" to the current application cycle (Spring 2015).

2.  Go to "My Profile" to enter your social security number.  Verify all other information is current.

3.  Update all "Coursework" completed since you last applied.  If you enter additional coursework, you must also request current official transcripts from those colleges/universities.  Transcripts must be sent directly to NursingCAS from the issuing institution using the NursingCAS transcript request form.  NursingCAS will provide this form to you in the "Secondary Schools and Colleges" section.  You are required to use the NursingCAS form when you submit your transcript request so that the transcript can be sent directly to NursingCAS.  Transcripts sent to Linfield College will not be processed.

STEP 2: Upload supplemental materials to NursingCAS.

Supplemental materials consist of:

Signature Form and Prerequisite Checklist.  This is not a fillable form.  Print and complete.  There are two signature lines on the form.  One attests to your computer proficiency and the other to the authenticity of your application materials.  The checklist documents the specific courses you completed to fulfill prerequisites and when you plan to complete any remaining prerequisites.  If you do not fill in prerequisite completion dates in the "completion term or term to be taken" column, the form is incomplete. 

We recommend saving these completed forms as a single file for upload.  To complete the upload process,

  • login to your application and go to the "Designations" section
  • click "Designated Schools" then "Linfield College - Good Samaritan School of Nursing (Undergraduate)"
  • scroll to the bottom of the page and under "Document Uploads" select the document you would like to attach
  • enter in a label name and click submit

Please note, if you do not attach your files to the Linfield College designation, we will not be able to view these documents and your application will be incomplete.

Upload both completed forms to the "document upload" section of your NursingCAS application.

STEP 3: Pay your supplemental application fee.

Pay the $20 Linfield supplemental application fee online.  This fee is in addition to the NursingCAS fee.

STEP 4: Submit NursingCAS application.

Your application is not complete until you make your final submission to NursingCAS. This must be done by August 1, 2014.
