Congratulations on your admission to the Linfield - Good Samaritan School of Nursing!
Here are the things you need to know and do between now and the start of classes on February 10, 2014. Complete each task below. While tasks have been prioritized by their order listed, each is critical and should be completed by the noted completion dates. Many of the tasks can be worked on simultaneously, so please read through the entire list. Contact the resources listed if you need assistance.
Set up your Linfield email address and online resource access (CatNet) ID and password. Your Linfield email may be accessed using Webmail or your mobile device. Questions? Contact Integrated Technology Services for assistance. (Note: It will take 24 hours for your email and CatNet access to become active.) Your CatNet access will also be important when accessing WebAdvisor (the online student account portal) to view your class schedule, bill, and other important documents.
|Immediately||2. Emergency Contact Information.
Enter your emergency contact information through WebAdvisor. (Wait at least 24 hours after you set up your CatNet account.) Select "Emergency Notification Info" from your student menu and enter the information requested.

|3. Course selection.
Students accepted for admission after November 1 will be registered by the Registrar into sections determined by space availability. After Linfield has received a student's admission deposit, they will be notified by Linfield email when their schedule is ready for viewing. Questions? |4. Official transcripts.
Send all your remaining official transcripts by Wednesday, January 15, 5pm. Mail to Linfield College-Good Samaritan School of Nursing, 2215 NW Northrup St., Portland, OR 97210. (Does not apply to students transferring directly from the Linfield McMinnville Campus.)
|January 15, 2014||5. Health Passport.
Complete the Health Passport Requirements; instructions and information are available in the Clinical Requirements and Evaluations webpage. NOTE: Your completed health passport is required in order to enter class on the first day of lab, so please read and follow the requirements precisely. Personal healthcare providers cannot override a requirement. For unique questions beyond the instructions on the requirements page, contact Joyce Betita, Experiential Learning Center Director.
|February 7, 2014||6. Vehicle Registration.
If you would like to park in designated Linfield lots in Portland, complete the Online Vehicle Registration form to receive a permit at no cost. Students with vehicles registered at least one day prior to orientation will receive their parking permit at orientation. Questions? Contact Portland Campus Operations.
|November 3, 2013||7. Campus Housing.
If planning to live on campus, submit a housing application by November 3rd. Space is limited and applications should be submitted as soon as possible. Read through the Housing Information for application instructions. Contact the Housing Office for assistance.
|February 7, 2014||8. Financial Aid.
Finalize financial aid arrangements. Visit the Financial Aid website for additional information, including an estimated Cost of Attendance and a financial aid FAQ page. Questions? |January 20, 2014||9. Student Account.
Clear your account and pay your bill. Bills will be issued in January and mailed to you with information and instructions on clearing your account. For more details about clearing your account, paying your bill, the Linfield Educational Services Agreement (LESA), health insurance and refunds, click here. Questions? |January 10, 2014||10. Lab Equipment.
All students must complete and submit this form to order or decline your stethoscope and blood pressure cuff. The deadline is January 10th or a default black color of each will be ordered. Questions? Contact Joyce Betita for assistance.
|February 10, 2014||11. Neehr Perfect Activation.
Approximately 1-2 weeks before your first term starts, you will receive a “Student Guide to Neehr Perfect,” the networked educational electronic health record, via email from Joyce Betita, Experiential Learning Center Director. The guide will instruct you on how to activate your subscription, and you must do so by February 10, 2014 as you will use it in lab that day. You will use it in Semesters 1, 2, and 3.
