Life at Linfield — the student perspective

Spring Break

The year is quickly wrapping up. While I know there are still two whole months ahead of us, I also know Linfield time is different than real time. Two months at Linfield can sometimes feel like two weeks other times two years. I think because we are so close to being done, the weeks will go by faster for me. To help us through the coming weeks we took some down time over spring break. For my break I went home with few structured plans. I enjoy these trips the most, the ones where I go home with no agenda in place and just spend time with my family.

During the break I was home a lot trying to take advantage of the time I had. First there was the food; of course one of the most important aspects, food from home is always delicious. My mom and grandma asked me to pick the meals several times over the break so I got to have many of my favorites.  With my sibling movie seemed to be the activity of choice. I watched so many movies over break I just stopped counting but I loved sitting back and relaxing in good company. I even got an opportunity to get crafty. On one of the days my younger sister and I decided to make friendship bracelets. We gathered beads, string and brainstormed various designs. Needless to say my sister was not only more creative than I was but better at bracelet making all together. The break was much needed, very enjoyed and greatly appreciated. Now back on campus, my schedule has gotten a bit busier with not as many movies. I’m excited for summer but plan to also take advantage of these last two months. It still amazes me, we can finally see the finish line.
