Education: M.M., Portland State University, B.M., University of Utah magna cum laude. Studied voice with Ellen Faull, Ruth Dobson, and Sheri Greenawald. Coaching with Maestro Dean Williamson, Richard Bower, Marilyn Horne, Sherrill Milnes, and Tito Capobianco.

Academic Interests:
Pedagogy, performance, stage directing, musicianship, classroom management.

Festivals: Adams Fellow Young Artist at the prestigious Carmel Bach Festival in California. Performed with the Internationale Bachakademie Stuttgart under the direction of Maestro Helmuth Rilling. Performed with Bel Canto NW, Astoria Music Festival, and Portland SummerFest.

Performances: Recently seen singing Barber's luscious Knoxville: Summer of 1915, with the Linfield Chamber Orchestra, Carmina Burana with the Music in the Mountains Festival in CA, Handel's Messiah with Portland Baroque Orchestra under the baton of Richard Egarr, and creating the role of Louise in Story of an Hour, a new operetta by Michael Valenti with Portland Chamber Orchestra. Other favorite engagements include singing Adina (L'elisir d'amore, Portland SummerFest), Queen of the Night (Magic Flute, Portland Opera tour), Bach's Cantata 210 (Oregon Mozart Players), and Polly (The Beggar's Opera, PBO, with Monica Huggett). Featured soloist with Portland's Columbia Symphony Orchestra and the Olympia Symphony. Guest soloist with University of Portland and Lewis & Clark College.

Teaches Applied Voice and Beginning Class Voice.

Awards: NATSAA Northwest Regional Winner, Artist Award from the National Opera Association; honored by the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions and the Gerda Lissner Foundation in New York City. Graduate Teaching Assistantship and President's Award for University Service at Portland State University.

Memberships: National Association of Teachers of Singing, NATS Cascade Chapter Membership and Festival Chair, Oregon Music Teachers Association (MTNA)

Additional Professional Positions: Adjunct Professor of Voice at Willamette University in Salem, Instructor of Music for Saturday Academy in Portland, Associate Trainer for The Center for Teacher Effectiveness.
