Linfield Taiko

<under construction>

more coming soon!

Linfield Taiko was formed in 2002 from the shared aspirations of Professor Chris Keaveney and some students and community members. Starting with donated wine barrels and a few cowhides, Dr. Keaveney and a friend constructed their first taiko. The ensemble performs at cultural events at Linfield and at other community events. Although Linfield Taiko performs some taiko standards, most of the group's repertoire is comprised of its own compositions, including some with a latin flare. The group is open to all students and community members, but students in the Japanese classes are particularly encouraged to participate.
