LINFIELD MEDIA

KSLCKSLC-FM, 90.3 serves McMinnville and Yamhill County. The student-operated station provides a wide range of musical formats, news, sports and community affairs programming. KSLC’s offices and broadcast studio are located on the first floor of Pioneer Hall at Linfield College, McMinnville, OR. KSLC operates 24 hours a day and its signal is streamed on the Internet. Faculty advisor, Nancy Cornwell, Associate Professor of Mass Communication, oversees KSLC’s operations. Students can become involved in KSLC’s operations by enrolling in Broadcast Practices or approaching the executive staff directly. Students apply for paid executive staff positions as well as volunteer DJ positions. KSLC is an Associated Student of Linfield College (ASLC) organization and receives its funding from a combination of students fees and community underwriting. The Linfield Review is a weekly, student-run newspaper on the Linfield McLinfield ReviewMinnville campus. It is funded by advertising and the Associated students of Linfield College (ASLC). The paper features Linfield College and community news, student-authored opinion columns, and comprehensive coverage of college sports and activities. Faculty Adviser, Will Lingle, Professor of Mass Communication, oversees production of the Review. Students apply for the paid editorial staff positions. Students can work as journalists by enrolling in the Newspaper Practices class or contacting the editorial staff directly. The Linfield Review is housed in Cook Hall on the Linfield campus. Wildcat Productions Wildcat Productions is a student run organization that produces a variety of video and television programs for Linfield College and the community. Currently Wildcat Productions produces the Linfield Link, a half hour variety and news show. The Linfield Link airs on McMinnville Community Media (local cable channel 11). The faculty advisor, Nancy Cornwell, Associate Professor of Mass Communication, oversees the production of the Linfield Link. The Associated Students of Linfield College (ASLC) financially supports Wildcat Productions.
