Wine Industry Immersion Program 2017

This program is a comprehensive, deep immersion into the wine industry with
focus in the following arenas:

  • History of Oregon Wine Industry
  • The Oregon Wine History Archive
  • Geology in the Willamette Valley
  • Grape Growing and Farming Practices
  • Winemaking
  • Winery/Vineyard Operations Management
  • Sales, Marketing and Distribution
  • Winery/Vineyard Accounting, Legal and Compliance
  • Sensory Evaluation
  • Wine and Food Pairing

Training sessions focus on the history of wine in Oregon, grape growing, winemaking, bottling, distribution, sales, marketing, social media, accounting, human resources, tasting and food pairings, sustainability, and many other aspects of
the industry. Sessions will be hosted and taught by professionals with significant experience in the industry representing diverse vineyards and wineries.

Additionally, WIIP will incorporate career development themes and practices to enhance participants’ understanding of the industry, and where they may have
the most interest and aptitude.

Program Dates: June 13th – Aug 3th, 2017

Schedule:  Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8:30am to 5:00pm

Program Fee:  $2500, includes local transportation and lunch for each session
date along with Passport to Pinot tickets.
