Wall Street Journal praises Linfield Gallery exhibit

Linfield’s recent “Artifacts of Memory” show was a favorite in a Wall Street Journal review, which praised the “truly poetic stunner.”

Linfield Gallery was the only gallery based outside of Portland for the article titled “Our Next Art Capital: Portland?”

Read more about the Crystal Shenk exhibit and plan to visit the Linfield Gallery, which will showcase student work May 10-27, with an opening reception Saturday, May 12, from 3 to 5 p.m. Student artists include Lucas Cook ’13, Laura Goodwin ’13, Ziyun Liang ’13, Luyuan Peng ’13, Chloe Raymond ’13, Katherine Takaoka ’13 and Julianne Tejadilla ’12.

LINFIELD GALLERY

Exhibitions of regional, national and international stature are on view throughout the academic year in the 1,500 square foot space at Linfield College. Patrons can expect challenging shows that exemplify diverse approaches to the practice of contemporary visual art.

All exhibits are free and open to the public. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. The gallery is located in the James Miller Fine Arts Center on the Linfield College campus (map).
