Week of activities highlights sexual assault awareness

Sexual Assault Awareness Week 2015April is sexual assault awareness month and Linfield College has planned a slate of activities April 13-16 in recognition. Activities include speakers, gatherings and a “Flags of Solidarity” display on campus.

“We want to raise awareness, show support for survivors and work on prevention methods to build up a community that does not tolerate sexual assault,” said Katie Daugherty ’16, who helped plan the week’s events. “Linfield is participating in these activities because we care about our community. We want to make sure students know their resources and know how to support survivors of sexual assault. Together we can make students at Linfield feel safe and supported.”
