Linfield’s $100 application fee will be waived for adults who wish to return to school, if they apply before Feb. 20.
The $100 application fee for the Linfield College Adult Degree bachelor’s degree program and the $50 fee for the certificate programs will both be waived.
“This offer is extended to help support and encourage adults who have considered going back to school take the next step toward achieving their educational goals,” says Janet Gifford, the director of marketing for Linfield’s Division of Continuing Education.
Linfield academic advisors are available to help each incoming student set up an academic schedule of courses leading toward a certificate or degree, and students have access to online tutoring. In addition, financial aid, grants and loans are available to all eligible students.
Students who apply before Feb. 20, are eligible to attend the Path to Scholarships Workshops, held in Portland on Jan. 28 or as a Webinar on Feb. 4. Students who participated in these sessions last year won an average of $6,000 in scholarships, making the goal to go back college more achievable.
Linfield offers six accredited online degrees, including the recently added online marketing degree program, and three accredited online certificate programs. Four additional degree and certificate programs are offered in a hybrid online/classroom format through Linfield’s McMinnville and Portland campuses.
Linfield is one of the first colleges in the Pacific Northwest and is regionally accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities.
