Work by three senior art majors at Linfield College is showcased in the thesis exhibition, “JAK The Trifecta: A Story of Coalesce,” on display through Sunday, May 28, in the Linfield Gallery in the James F. Miller Fine Arts Center.
Work by seniors Alex Andreotti, Jasmine Fojas and Kytana Winn is featured. Coalesce means to unite, grow or come together to form one mass or whole. A trinity of women who come from diverse backgrounds, independent aesthetics and a variety of mediums have formed a bond that enables them to be inspired within each other’s works. The work of Andreotti, Fojas and Winn may look different in appearance, but are all rooted from growth and transformation through the trials and tribulations of what it means to be an artist.
The exhibit is free and open to the public. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. The gallery is located in the James F. Miller Fine Arts Center on the Linfield College campus. For more information, call 503-883-2804 or visit Linfield Gallery online at www.linfield.edu/art/gallery-now.html.
