Linfield ensembles featured in chamber music recital

Chamber music recitalSeven Linfield College music ensembles will present the annual chamber music recital on Tuesday, Dec. 6, at 4 p.m. in the Delkin Hall of the Vivian A. Bull Music Center at Linfield.

The afternoon performance will showcase students from the Linfield chamber music class, along with community members, and their work throughout the semester. The class is divided into small performance groups, each led by a different instructor, according to Joan Paddock, professor of music.

The ensembles include the Linfield Brass Trio and the Percussion Octet, both led by Paddock; Chamber Music with Piano, coached by Jill Timmons, professor of music; the Woodwind Trio and Saxophone Quartet, coached by Steve Kravitz, adjunct professor of music; the Percussion Duo, coached by Florian Conzetti, adjunct professor of music; and String Ensembles, coached by Vicki Pich, adjunct professor of music. The recital will feature a variety of music composed by Mozart, Schubert, Bach, Corelli, Bartok and others.
