Linfield choir to perform final concert of tour

Linfield College ChoirThe Linfield College Concert Choir will present its final performance of the spring choir tour on Sunday, Feb. 19, 7 p.m. in the Richard and Lucille Ice Auditorium, Melrose Hall.

The choir performed in Austin, Texas, and surrounding communities during the tour, Jan. 31-Feb. 5.

The program, centered on themes of social justice and peace, will feature “When Justice Reigns” by Andrea Reinkemeyer, assistant professor of music. The composition was commissioned by the Lacroute Arts Series and had its premiere performance by the Concert Choir in October.

The choir, directed by Anna Song, associate professor of music, will also perform choral works by Josquin, Byrd, Parry, Pärt, Mendelssohn and others. Additionally, two piano works by Ravel and Ginastera will be performed by Albert Kim, assistant professor of music.
