The National Association for Campus Activities (NACA) recently elected Dan Fergueson, Linfield College director of college activities, to its board of directors. Fergueson has worked in student activities for 15 years, having previously served as coordinator of Student Activities at Shawnee State University in Ohio.
Among other NACA achievements, Fergueson received the NACA ® West Region’s Peggy Horgan Award for Outstanding Regional Volunteer in 2007 and the Shelly K. Bannish Award for Outstanding Staff Advisor in 2011, as well as the Associated Students of Linfield College Senate Outstanding Service Award for 2003-04. He has served on a number of Linfield advisory and planning committees and currently serves on the Administrators Compensation Committee.
Fergueson holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Albion College and a master’s degree in student personnel administration from Western Washington University.
Established in 1960, the NACA offers a variety of events, educational institutes, publications and networking opportunities for colleges and universities across the country. The association’s programs focus on program planning, risk management, multicultural education, concert management, student and professional leadership development, student government and more.
