History Professor Sharon Bailey Glasco has a broad background in Latin American culture, politics and history. She teaches courses about the U.S.-Mexico border region, Mexican culture and identity, the history of Mexico, and topics related to Latin America, including revolution, democracy and inequality in Latin America.

Dr. Bailey Glasco is a regular publisher and presenter on topics associated with Mexico and Latin America, including the effect of NAFTA on the citizens of Mexico. She has recently published a book about colonial conflicts in Mexico City.

Bailey Glasco is a strong advocate of college access for Latino students, and mentors Latino students at Linfield College. She has lived near the U.S.-Mexico border for many years.
