Kathleen Bemis

Dr. Bemis can offer insights in several areas: continuing and online education, along with religion, and ethics and end-of-life issues.

She currently serves as dean of the Division of Continuing Education at Linfield College. Prior to her position at Linfield she served as director of Faculty and Curriculum at Regis University in Colorado and executive director of the Colorado Palliative Care Hospice in Colorado Springs.

Bemis taught religious studies and philosophy at the Regis University in Colorado (Jesuit Catholic tradition), the University of Barcelona in Spain, Salem College in North Carolina and Florida State University. She has given presentations on ethics and end-of-life issues, medical ethics and spirituality, along with adult learning programs, continuing education and technology in distance education.

Bemis served as regional chair of the University Professional and Continuing Education Association (UCEA) and serves on the UCEA Commission on Leadership and Management. She is a trustee of the United Religions Initiative Global Council, the Colorado Hospice Organization and the Center for Spirituality and Ethics in McMinnville, Ore. Bemis and has also served on the Willamette Valley Medical Center Ethics Board.
