Through his company, Procareering, Hampton has served as a consultant, counselor and job search coach, and has provided executive-level training to corporate and nonprofit clients in multi-faceted industries. He also specializes in innovative presentation techniques and employer relations.
Hampton has published in the area of career development and his career advice has been featured in Time Magazine.
Previous positions included directorship and associate directorship of career service offices at Western Oregon University and George Fox University. He has counseled hundreds of students in academic settings, facilitated professional internships for students, and developed and taught career development sessions through academic departments.
Prior to entering the world of higher education, Hampton was a sports marketing manager for NIKE, a nonprofit program director, and a television news photographer and video producer.
Hampton has been designated a Master Career Development Professional (MCDP) by the National Career Development Association.
