Ochoa is the associate director of Financial Aid with the Portland Campus of Linfield College. He offers frequent radio interviews and consultations with school administrators and families about financial resources for college for Latinos and other underrepresented youth.
Ochoa serves as a motivational speaker and educational consultant with Path to Scholarships, a national outreach program that provides guidance and assistance with college planning for students with financial need. He is a contributing author to the workbook, Path to Scholarships: College Edition, and a member of the Nursing Workforce Diversity committee sponsored through the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).
Ochoa has a BA in sociology and Latin American history from the University of Oregon. He is originally from Zamora, Michoacán, in Mexico.
