Preston is one of the foremost experts in the state about trends in private education, especially in the area of financial aid and admissions. He is former president and an ongoing leader with the Oregon Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators, and appears regularly on Oregon Public Broadcasting advising Oregon students about how to apply for and receive financial aid.
