At Linfield, a new look of learning

The Linfield University campus doesn’t appear much different from what it did when classes started last year, except for the signs with the school’s name — it shed its “college” designation on July 1.

Flowers are blooming, cars fill every parking space, and students cross the campus, backpacks bulging, on their way to classes that started Monday, Aug. 24. Continue reading

“Linfield University has now put in place a team of deans who are equipped to help lead us into the future,” said Linfield President Miles K. Fall return-to-campus plans

Wild for our HealthDear students and families,

Linfield University remains committed to providing a full residential, liberal arts experience on campus for fall 2020. New safety and health protocols have been put into place, and dining, housing and student services will remain open and available for students. The Linfield experience will continue, even if it is modified for these challenging times. Classes will be offered in a mix of formats, including in-person, online and, in some cases, a (hybrid) combination of online and in-person. Continue reading

President Davis addresses Supreme Court’s DACA decision

Linfield is the type of institution that allows anyone with grit, determination and a passion for service to thrive and flourish. The Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program fosters those same attributes, allowing motivated young people to thrive. In the program’s eight years of existence, more than 700,000 DACA students have benefited from the program and gone on to become teachers, nurses, doctors, dentists and many other types of professionals. A significant number of Linfield students have been among them, engaging in research, serving our community and proudly walking across the Commencement stage in the Oak Grove. Continue reading
