Interlibrary Loan (ILL)
Before You Request

Before you request an item, make sure Linfield doesn’t already have it available locally.

Save Time: It’s much quicker to get an item if it's already at Linfield than to order it from ILL.  In fact, getting books, DVD's, CD's, etc. via ILL usually takes at least seven days. Articles will generally arrive more quickly, within a few days or even sooner. See FAQs for more information.

How to check if we have the resource you need locally Other tips to save time
  • Avoid using ILL to request textbooks for Linfield classes. Many libraries do not have textbooks and/or cannot loan them for extended periods.
  • It may also be difficult to get newly released items from ILL.  Fewer libraries have them and some won't lend them right away.
