Launching through the Surf: The Dory Fleet of Pacific City Part II

Tyrone Marshall of the Theater and Communication Arts Department, along with students Jennifer Layton and Cassidy Davis, will be continuing work with the Dory project: "Launching through the Surf: The Dory Fleet of Pacific City Part II." This second phase of the project focuses on the oral history collection from 20-25 dory men and women, continues development of the DigitalCommons@linfield archives, and completes pre-production work for a ply on the dory men and women of Pacific City.

The study aims to uncover the salient communication patterns, unique cultural experiences and challenges faced by the dory community and to document an important facet of Oregon's history.
