Faculty members may place either their own personal copy or a library book on reserve. They may also place photocopies of journal articles or past exams on reserve for 2-hour checkout periods, or on electronic reserve (e-reserve). To place materials on reserve, fill out a Reserve Request Form for the McMinnville or Portland campuses and return it with your materials to the Circulation Desk in the appropriate library. (Note to faculty: see Reserve copyright policies). For e-reserves, materials should conform to the following guidelines:
Students can find out what is on reserve for a particular class by selecting Course Reserve Readings from the Linfield College Libraries web page or from WildCat, Linfield's Online Catalog. Follow the directions for your particular class. Fines for overdue reserve materials are $1.00 per hour for 2 hour reserves and $2.00 per day for 1 day reserves. Photocopying ServicesJereld R. Nicholson Library - McMinnville CampusJereld R. Nicholson Library contains four photocopiers and two microfilm reader/printers for patron use. Patrons must do their own copying and individuals using the copiers/printers are responsible for any infringement of copyright laws. The photocopiers cost $.05 per copy. A five dollar photocopy card may be purchased at the Circulation desk; students can charge this $5.00 to their accounts. This allows patrons the convenience of carrying a card rather than loose change. Alternatively, a $1 photocopy card may be purchased from the card vending machine in the East Copy Center (near the circulation desk); patrons may also add money on to an existing card via the card vending machine. The microfilm reader/printers cost $.10 per copy. An auditron (counter) may be checked out at the Circulation desk to print. The patron then pays when the auditron is returned.
