Linfield Libraries Homepage: (The Research Databases and WorldCat require a Linfield computer account and proxy password.)

Computer Accounts

As a Linfield Student, you are eligible for a Linfield College computing account, which along with your proxy password will give you complete access to the Libraries' databases to search for books, articles and other materials. You will need your Linfield student ID number which is on the front of your photo ID. To obtain your computer name and password fill out the application for an computer account. Follow the directions on the same page to set up a proxy password. If you have any problems please contact Brett Hardee at 1-800-452-4176 ext. 2451.

We will send you items that are not found at local libraries, but are owned by Linfield. For example, books and journal articles from journal's in Linfield's catalog will be mailed to you at no extra cost to you. You will need only to pay postage to return books. The articles are copies that you may keep.

Orbis Cascade Alliance Borrowing

You can borrow books not owned by local community libraries or Linfield from a consortium of academic libraries called Orbis. The Orbis Cascade Alliance catolog is the combined catalogs of all institutions in the consortium. You can order books from the Orbis Cascade Alliance catalog to be mailed to your home or for pick-up at another library. Learn How

Interlibrary Loan

Linfield Library will request for you the following items via interlibrary loan:

  1. Books not owned by Linfield Libraries or local libraries
  2. Books not in the Orbis catalog
  3. Journal articles in journals not owned by Linfield's Northup Library in McMinnville, and not available on online full text databases such as EBSCOhost. Check Periodicals@Linfield to see.
