Why you started working at KSLC: KSLC needed my organizational skills and I needed the money.
How long you've been with KSLC: first year with KSLC
Description of what you do at the station: I take notes, make PSA CD's, label things, answer the phone if it happens to ring, and organize my desk; all at startlingly efficient speeds.
Any shows you do: Mystery Hour, Tuesdays at 9pm.
Favorite bands/artists: Dave Matthews Band! Sublime, Sheryl Crow, Nirvana, T.I., Ying-Yang Twins.

I review CD's, make sure all the other CDs in the station are alphabetically ordered, talk to promoters about getting new CDs, and pick out the rotation CDs

underground hip-hop show on Tuesdays from 3-4

Why you started working at KSLC: I have always loved radio, I want to share that love with others
How long you've been with KSLC: 2 years now
Description of what you do at the station: What don’t I do? I play new/popular hip-hop music, talk sports, broadcast sports, and of course give everyone the news,
Any shows you do: I conduct a Hip-hop show Wednesday nights at 8 under the name DJ WK, a sports talk radio show Sunday nights at 8, as well as sports games here and there.
Favorite bands/artists: Oh boy, I love hip hop so Kanye West, Jay-z, Tupac, Ludacris TI, T-pain, Chris Brown, Usher, Eminem, 50 Cent, the lyrics can be a little crude but I really just enjoy anything that will get me snappin my fingers…I also have a soft spot for alternative rock, groups like The Offspring, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Blink-182, Oasis, Nirvana, Weezer, stuff like that.
Favorite KSLC memory: There will be many more to come, but to date, I liked having a political talk show running up to the elections in November. I liked being able to speak my mind about ideas that aren’t brought up much in a college setting whereas some students are hesitant to step on others toes. |
