Office 2007 Compatibility Pack for Windows

You must be running Windows 2000 SP4 or greater and be running Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2000 SP3
OR Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint 2002 SP3 OR Microsoft Office 2003 SP1 or greater.

Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2007 File Formats

To be able to open, edit and save Office 2007 Word documents, Excel workbooks or PowerPoing presentations while still using Windows Office 2003 you will need to download and install this Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack (English version).

For non-English OS's, go Microsoft's Web site for the download.

If you are already running Microsoft Office 2007,
you do not need to install the compatibility pack.

1. Click on Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack link (English version).

2. A File Download dialog window will appear. Click Save button (be sure to take note of where you save, we suggest your Desktop).

3. You will see a FileFormatConverters.exe icon appear whereever you have saved the file, double click on this.

4. An Open File dialog window will appear. Click on Run button open file dialog window

5. Click the checkbox to Accept the Microsoft Software License Terms.

  • Then click Continue button.

6. The files will Extract, unpack and install and you will see progress bars to indicate this.

7. When installation is complete, click OK button.

You are now able to open Office 2007 Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, and PowerPoint presentations.
