If you have Office 2008 installed, you do not need to install this Office Converter.
It is recommended that you review all files carefully after
you convert to make sure it contains all the data/information you expect.
For a complete list of known issues, install and open the converter, and then
go to the Help menu -> click on Office Converter
Help -> Known Issues.
System Requirements: Office 2004 11.4.0 or later OR Office v. X 10.1.9 or later to open converted documents and you must also be running Mac OS 10.4.9 (Tiger) or later.

1. Quit any applications that are running (including all Office applications, Messenger, and Office Notifications). 2. Click to download the Microsoft
Open XML File Format Converter for Mac1.0 (English version)
3. Double click on the Green Arrow with Install Open XML Converter to start the update. |

4. You may be asked for your CatNet/login password before installation can begin. 5. A Microsoft License Agreement dialog window will appear
6. To continue installing you must agree to the software license agreement terms. A pop-up dialog window will appear asking you to do so.

7. A Install dialog window will appear.

8. When installation is complete.

9. If installation is successful, drag
the Office Open XML Converter volume to
the Trash then drag the .dmg file
you downloaded to the Trash. |

1. If you receive a Office 2007 Word document or Office 2007 PowerPoint presentation via email as an attachment -

| 5. If you try to convert a single unrecognized file you will see text indicating it is unrecognized. If the unrecognized file is within a folder that you drag-and-drop, the unrecognized file will not appear in the listing. | ![]() |
