Every Entourage account comes with a ready-made Junk E-mail folder ready for you to use. Using the Junk E-mail Protection feature, you can set your local level of protection/filtering. |

1. Your Junk E-mail folder is located in your folder list. **NOTE - It is recommend that you OPEN and check/scan the email that is in your Junk E-mail folder/mailbox BEFORE you delete it. |

2. Go to Tools menu -> Junk E-mail Protection to change the protection level.
3. Select the Level tab.
4. Enable the check box for Delete message from the Junk E-mail folder other than ___ days.
5. Click OK button. |

| There may be particular email senders that you do not want subjected to "junk filters"or take the risk of inadvertently being put into the Junk Email Folder (like all @linfield.edu senders). You can do this by creating a Safe Domain list. | |

1. Go to Tools menu -> Junk Email Protection. 2. A Junk E-mail Protection window will open. 3. Select the Safe Domains tab.
4. Click OK button. |

1. Select the Junk E-mail folder and double click on a specific email to open it OR If you use the preview pane you will see the email message ‘previewed ’there. |

2. A yellow banner in the Info Bar (at the top) contains a link This is not junk e-mail. 3. Click
on the link This is not junk e-mail OR click on
the Not
Junk
4. A Junk E-mail Protection dialog box will open with options on how you would like to handle future messages from this sender/domain.
5. Click OK button. 6. The selected message will be removed from the Junk E-mail folder and moved to your Inbox |
