Clean Access – Windows 7 Installation

Authenticate on the Linfield network.  Make sure your computer is connected either wirelessly or with an ethernet cable to the Linfield network.  Open any web browser such as Internet Explorer, Firefox or Safari.  Your browser will be redirected to an authentication page.

·      Enter your CatNet ID and CatNet Password

·      Choose LDAP as Provider

·      Click on the ‘Log Me In’ button

 

 

Download Clean Access.  A network security notice will appear that you should read. 

 Click on the ‘Launch’ button.  If the Clean Access installation doesn’t start automatically wait for the failure message and click on the ‘Download’ button  to install it manually.


 


Note: If you have already installed Clean Access, do not download it again.  Close the browser and right-click the Clean Access icon located in the system tray on the lower right corner of  your desktop.  Choose ‘Login’ to proceed.


 

 

Install Clean Access.  The next few steps will vary depending on the the browser you are using.

 

Internet Explorer: Click ‘Run’ in the Security Warning window that appears.  In the next Security window click ‘Run’.  A User Account Control dialog box will appear and you will need to enter the username and password you use to login to windows.  Follow the rest of the prompts to finish installing Clean Access.


                              


Firefox: Click ‘Save File’ to save the file to the ‘Downloads’ folder.  In the ‘Downloads’ window double-click on the ‘Updater’ file to begin installation.  A User Account Control dialog box will appear and you will need to enter the username and password you use to login to windows.  Follow the rest of the prompts to finish installing Clean Access.

 

                           


Log in using the Cisco Clean Access Agent.  You now have a Clean Access Agent icon  on your desktop and in the system tray in the lower right corner of your desktop.  The Cisco NAC Agent window should open automatically requesting your CatNet ID and password.  If the Cisco NAC Agent window does not appear then ‘right-click’ on the Clean Access icon in the system tray and choose ‘Login'
