Gaming Devices - Xbox, PS3, Wii, etc.

In order to access the network, all gaming devices will need to be registered through the ITS Support Desk.  If the gaming device is moved to a different building, a new request will need to be submitted to the Support Desk.

Please send an email to support@linfield.edu with the following information.  ITS will only process requests submitted by email.

  • Name
  • Linfield Email/Catnet ID (example: jsmith)
  • Phone Number
  • Building & Room #
  • Gaming Device Type (Wii, Xbox, etc)
  • Gaming Device Serial #
  • Gaming Device Wired MAC Address (not wireless - unless you live in Legacy which is wireless only)* (example: 08:AC:1B:33:29:FC).  If you are not sure how to find this, please refer to your users manual or search online for how to find this information for your particular device.

*Please note, ITS highly recommends using gaming devices on the Linfield network with a wired ethernet connection.  Our network is not configured for gaming devices to connect wirelessly, therefore performance may be affected.  ITS will not provide support for wireless gaming issues.

Once we receive all of the information listed above, we will create a work order.  You will be notified when we have completed the process of adding your gaming device to the network.

All requests received by noon on Friday will be processed by 5pm each Friday.
