This past weekend, I had to chance to hop on a train and go to Dublin with some friends from Linfield. I knew that I was going to enjoy Dublin, but I was even more surprised once we got there by the amount of things to do and see. From the Kilmainham Gaol to the Guinness Storehouse, we had a great time being tourists! My favorite place was the Kilmainham Gaol, which is an old prison with a long history. It is still hard for me to grasp how old everything is here! Also, no trip to Dublin is complete without seeing the Book of Kells at Trinity College. The college itself was beautiful and the architecture was amazing! My group stayed in a hostel in the center of Dublin and it was my first time in a hostel for a long period of time. There are many people that come and go from places all around the world.
I am beginning to travel more and more. This next week I am off to Barcelona! I have a lot to see, as this will be the second country I am exploring since my arrival. I am most excited for the food and festivals.
Along with traveling, I have been keeping up with classwork. It is crazy to think that we have approached the halfway mark of our classes (not including the month-long examination period).
I plan to write about my trip to Barcelona in the near future!
