2013-03-30 In Which Nothing Happened
Since January, I have been on vacation from school. It is now the end of March. In January, I took a trip to Kyoto to see my boyfriend and other people from Linfield. Together, we travelled around the Kansai area, visiting notable places like Osaka and Nara. In February, I visited my uncle, aunt, and cousins in South Korea. While we weren't in any area famous worldwide for tourism, it was still a very fun and interesting trip, and I got to see and learn about a lot of things I had never even heard of before.
And then came March. By this point, a lot of my friends have moved out of the dormitory. Several of those friends have decided to travel or return to their home countries. It's a little bit lonely, but at least I can see the few friends who are still in the area, and recently, new exchange students have begun to move in.
To be honest, I haven't really done much of anything. Things will pick up again soon in April, but for now, I've really only been working or staying home. Sometimes I'll go shopping or take a walk somewhere, as the weather's been getting warmer. I should be practicing my Japanese more. Similarly, I feel as though my English is getting worse.
When I first came to Japan, I thought I'd never get used to living here. Now, I'm a little bored. On the bright side, I got my grades back. I did a lot better than I was expecting, with my lowest grade being a B. Here's hoping my next semester (when it finally starts) will be just as good, if not better!
