2012-11-11 Flea Market: Raising Money for the Orphanage
Near Banghwa Station
A couple weekends ago, I had the privilege to go to a flea market to help raise money for the orphanages in Korea. Jerusalem Ministries, the non-profit that I was working with when I volunteered for the soccer camp in the summer invited me to this event.
It is a bit out of the way from where I am, but it was worth the trip. I had the chance to meet with some of my kids that I had on my team from the soccer camp, as it was at their orphanage (one of the many that was represented at the flea market).
At the flea market, each non-profit had a booth with what they were providing. Jerusalem ministry had a booth selling burgers. However by the time that I had gotten there, they were already sold out. Korea really doesn’t get home made burgers off the grill so it was such a treat for those who were able to attend the flea market.
But they did have everything you might have needed. Random things like clothes, sketchbooks, soccer and volleyballs, and of course lots of different kinds of foods.
It was exciting to be able to participate in such an event. I was glad I was able to go!
