My name is Nick Rawlins and I’m currently  a senior Athletic Training major at Linfield College. I grew up on the northern California coast in the small village of Mendocino. I chose athletic training because I love sports and being around people. Athletic training constantly provides me with hands on learning and the ability to improve peoples lives. I came to Linfield in order to play football, but after three consecutive knee surgeries, that dream was given up. I am excited to be in the Bahamas and really look forward to immersing myself in the culture. The problem of diabetes in the Bahamas is significant and we have a great opportunity to educate and possibly make a small difference in the community. I cannot wait to connect with the communities and improve peoples lives! I would be lying if I didn’t say I am extremely excited for the weather and beaches also :)
