2009-11-18 The Jej-Day Two
Our tour guide explaining traditional Jeju-do statues
The second day of the trip was just as jam-packed as the first. Activities included: making our way through a huge maze, riding ATVs (my favorite part of the trip!), horseback riding, visiting a traditional village, fishing off of a floating resort, and catching a gorgeous sunset on a ferry ride back to shore.
Afterwards we hopped back on the Noribus for the longish trip to our evening accommodations. And of course we sang the entire way. I wish I could describe to you the awesomeness of watching the reminder of a sunset out the window of a bus where over 30 people are singing along to the latest Kpop songs. Whenever I hear 2NE1's "I Don't Care" I smile and think back to this.
We stayed in 3 rented houses 300m from the beach. In one house the quiet half of the girls went to bed early, while the rest of the group stayed up socializing into the wee hours of the morning. At one point a karaoke machine was rented, and how no one came to tell us to knock it off at 4 in the morning I will never know.
I absolutely love traveling with this group of people and will look back on this weekend as one of the absolute highlights of my time in Korea.
